WP.6. Reliable and Smart Network of Things
WP.6. Reliable and Smart Network of Things
The main objective of this work package is to provide mechanisms that ensure the trustability and reliability of the information provided by the IoT devices and data sources. The means for this are mechanisms that ensure continuous data and information access based on inter or intrapolation, means for generating knowledge about the state of things and objects, and understanding of how objects and things have behaved in comparable situations previously. WP6 will provide a set of enablers and mechanisms that will complement the COSMOS framework and will facilitate the modelling of information streams from IoT objects and data sources, the inference of situational knowledge from complex sets of information and the means to describe and exchange “experiences” between things.
In particular, this WP will focus on:
- Definition of models for dependable information provision in temporally disconnected environments.
- Means for knowledge inference in complex deployment situations, based on real time analysis of complex events, exploiting CEP techniques.
- Mechanisms for storage and distribution of deployment experiences of things, including definition of light weight
protocols for communication between distributed IoT devices.
